I set up an ad for the Christmas season as an experiment. I am trying to promote some sports apparel (Authennis Apparel), on Facebook.
1- I can't see the ad anywhere even though it was approved.
2- How do I make the ad more successful without spending too much for the up and coming spring season.

Appreciate your assistance.

John, the stats I've posted are far from being significant. Since this test was on a super laser targeted audience, around 1000-2000 impressions per ad was enough data for a preliminary decision.

Definitely, let's catch up at the next meetup202.

Nice to hear from you. take care.

Hi Ahmet:

nice post, love reading about facebook. Do you think those are statistically significant tests? i've seen my FB ads fluctuate CTR drastically. Your targetting must be pretty tight though to get those good CTR's.

I usually test about 20-50k impressions per image/ad. I guess it alot of it depends on your demographic size and other factors.

I think the most important thing in this article is "Never Settle with What YOU Think is Good". So true.. i am always surprised at the images that people click on with FB it is so bizarre. The images I personally think are "sure things" almost never get decent CTR.

Hope to catch up with you at one of the next meetup202's in NYC.
