Aweber Autoresponder Review

I have been using Aweber Autoresponder for almost 6 months now, and overall I’m very satisfied with it.  This is the main reason I have decided to write this detailed review about Aweber Autoresponder Software.  Before I go into details, here’s a screenshot of 3 Easy Steps Formula from Aweber.

Aweber Autoresponder 3 Easy Steps

Aweber Review

PROS of Aweber

  • Pricing of Aweber is straightforward and one of the most reasonable in the market. It is $19.99/month or $179.40/year ($14.95/month).  This price includes first 10.000 leads, unlimited autoresponders, unlimited follow ups, unlimited broadcasts, and unlimited campaigns.  This is great if you have more than 1 site and woud like to manage all of your email marketing in one solution like me.  Each additional 10.000 are $9.95/month.
  • Email Deliverability is excellent.  Aweber says they have 99.34% of all emails are delivered.  They are extremely careful about spamming.  They even have a builtin spam meter.  You can see the possibility of your email’s spam rate before sending it, and it gives you suggestions to lower this score.
  • Customer Service is top notch.  These guys are 100% behind their product, and they know what they are doing.  They have emailed me several times after my purchase, and asked if I needed any help.  They have even called me to ask if I needed any help to set it up.  You don’t get this kind of customer service anywhere on the web.
  • Training & Guides are limitless.  They have many training videos, guides, articles, and even teleseminars.  It is practically impossible not to be able to understand and use the Aweber Autoresponder system easily.  If you are internet savy, it will take you 10 minutes to setup everything.
  • Integration with Other Systems is very easy.  They are already integrated with many shopping carts and softwares out there.  For instance, when our customers shop at our webstore they automatically receive an email asking if they wanted to be included in our email list.  Then we can setup unlimited autoresponders after that such as asking them 15 days after their purchase how did they like the order, etc.  or send them a survey.  Customer service never gets better with this.
  • Credibility.  Many authority web stores, online marketers, and industry leaders use Aweber.  They have over 30.000 customers and they have been in business for over 9 years.
  • Reporting is very detailed and helpful.  You can track your each campaign detailly.  See how many of the emails you’ve sent were delivered, how many of them were actually opened, and track every single click in the email.
  • A/B Testing option.  Many email newsletters and autoresponders don’t offer this option.  We use it all the time.  Before we send the whole list, we send 2 of the same newsletter with 2 different titles to 100 leads each, and test the response rates, then send the final email to all of our list.  You can do unlimited A/B testing before you send the final newsletter.  This really helps to increase your email marketing ROI.
  • 30 Days Free Trial.  Yes, they have a 30 days free trial, and they offer a hassle free, full refund if you don’t like it.  This is a great way to test Aweber.  You can start your Free Trial immediately.

CONS of Aweber

  • Double Opt-in (verified opt-in) Requirement.  This is the only part I didn’t like about Aweber at the beginning.  I had a very large list of customer emails who have purchased from me before, but Aweber didn’t let me to add them to my list directly.  I had to send them an email asking if they wanted to be included in our email list.  Some high percent of this list didn’t reply the authorization email.  I did some research about double optin thing, and overall I’m happy Aweber does this.  Because now, I have a very targeted email list of leads who are very very interested in purchasing my products.  This way each email campaign I do is a huge success.  I also cleaned up all the dead emails in my list with this requirement. If you can prove to Aweber that your list is already a double optin, they might waive this requirement.

If this review (pros and cons) seem promising and you’d like to simply try them before deciding to go with them, go ahead now, and test Aweber.

  1. Thanks Kirtok, great review. After reviewing many options out there, and reading couple of reviews and yours, I have decided to give Aweber a try. I’ll post about my experiences within few weeks.

  2. Aweber was a life saver for my business. I have autoresponders setup (3 per new customer and 1 per each returning customer). I manage my email newsletter from Aweber. Currently, I have 4 sites in one Aweber account, and I don’t pay a penny extra.

My favorite feature is the reporting. I love reporting, and it’s real time. It’s addictive, I keep checking it all day when I send a new newsletter :)
