This is an excellent idea, however with a lot of the regulations in place for affiliate marketing and other types of offers, it really isn't allowed. And by that, I mean you'll only get away with it for so long before you get caught.

Sure, an auto insurance ad targeted to a workplace is HIGHLY targeted and would definitely get the average user excited enough to make them click and perhaps even complete the offer, landing you your commission.

But let's think about this offer for a minute...is there really any sort of discount on auto insurance for Westchester Medical Center Employees? For an affiliate marketer running a campaign, the answer is undoubtedly NO. There's absolute no way an affiliate can provide something even close to that sort of discount. It's misleading. The user may click on the ad and complete the form, only to find out it has absolutely nothing to do with Westchester Medical Center or a discount for said employees. This doesn't work out to be what I would consider a solid lead. This may work to make a quick buck, but it's not a long term strategy.

Although my comments are against this strategy for that specific type of offer, I still think this is a great post. It does highlight the true power of facebook marketing and there ARE ways you can leverage the workplace targeting to your advantage, which you mention later on in the post. Nice work and thanks for sharing!

Great post Kirtok. I really liked the part with all your brainstorming ideas. I'm sure the extra time to make specific ads in FB ist totally worth it.
But I think we need to be a little cautious, because using some company name in the ad text can be a bad rep for the company itself. (they may even sue..)
